Schedule of the 16th Light Dragoons 2008

Old Sturbridge Village

Under the command of Col Don Beale, the Regiment will take part the annual Old Sturbridge Village “Redcoats to Rebels” event.  There are over 30 units participating this year.  There will be 2 battles this year one on Saturday and one on Sunday.  If you need powder contact Colonel Beale ( lancer16@verizon.net ) and he will bring it to the event.

Uniform shall be regular uniform with backpack, billhooks, belt axes and bring cloaks in case of inclement weather.

There is the possibility of a very hot and humid weekend so take proper precautions.  See the British Brigade web site for heat related problems ( www.britishbrigade.org ). Take care to bring insect repellent.

Let Cindy Kersting ( messmistress@yahoo.com ) know what meals you will be eating with the Regiment so that she can plan according and let you know the cost.  Payment in advance to her would be helpful.

From East and West

From I-90 merge onto I-84 W via exit 9 toward US-20 Sturbridge/Hartford then merge onto US-20 W via exit 3B toward Brimfield.  Follow the signs to Old Sturbridge Village. Approx 1 mile on Rt 20   If using GPS   use address of  1 Old Sturbridge Village Road.  Registration is near the security building at the rear of the parking lot  (same place as last year)
